The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) published the Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) in January 2021, which requires all community and non-transient noncommunity water systems to submit a service line inventory to DEP by October 16, 2024. This update requires the water service providers to build a complete inventory of pipes and services lines in their systems. Service lines are the customer-owned pipes connecting their home or business to the public water main in the street.
All customers who receive their drinking water from Southwest Warren County Municipal Authority are asked to assist in completing an inventory of the water service lines coming into their home or business. We are asking for all customers to please contact the office at 814-484-7424 to schedule a day or time to have a water authority employee come to inspect the pipe coming into your residence. If you are able to locate, identify the material of the service line and provide a picture of your service line entering your residence, please email the information to tboro@tidioute.org. Please include in the email, along with the picture and line material, your account number, service address, and phone number.
Regardless of the pipe material and property details, Southwest Warren County Municipal Authority needs your response. Southwest Warren County remains committed to providing safe, reliable, high-quality drinking water to customers and consumers.
