The Tidioute Area Volunteer Fire Department is one of the most important institutions in Tidioute. It consists of a fire and ambulance service staffed by volunteers. Anyone interested in joining the department can attend the monthly meetings held on the last Tuesday of every month at the fire station on Main Street.
