A national-level dock diving event will be held in Tidioute from August 12th through the 18th at the Pennsylvania State Fishing Tournament grounds. This family-friendly event offers the public a chance to watch champion dock-diving dogs in action and even participate with their pets.
Highlights of the Event Include:
Professional Demonstrations:
National champion dogs will be showcased in professional dock diving demonstrations on:
Saturday, August 16th and Sunday, August 17th
11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
These demonstrations will feature Tidioute’s own Walt Stover.
Public Participation – “Try It” Sessions:
Members of the public are invited to let their dogs participate in dock diving during scheduled “Try It” sessions.
Cost: $15 for a 15-minute session
Open to dogs 6 months and older
No preregistration required (first come, first served), though early sign-up is appreciated
Participants will be guided by experienced handlers
Puppies under 6 months can also attend and use the pool ramp during supervised “Try It Time” to begin learning how to swim.
Additional Information:
Spectators are welcome and encouraged to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the event.
The pool used for dock diving is over 100 feet long.
